Mothman, which has the same title as its 2000 predecessor, is a direct-to-TV horror film that aired on the SyFy channel. Sonny Lee and Patrick Walsh wrote the film, while Sheldon Wilson served as the director. Jewel Staite and Connor Fox starred in the film.

In the movie, a group of seven friends cover up an accidental murder. Years later, they return for the Mothman Festival only to be picked off one by one by the famous cryptid. Seeking safety, the group finds help from Frank Waverly, a blind old man who has been searching for Mothman for years. Can he help save their lives, or will the dangerous cryptid add to its body count?

This Final Destination-esk film received the lowly score of 20 percent from the audience on Rotten Tomatoes. But there is a very limited sample size of reviews. Many critics who said they hated the film also said they were wildly entertained during it. It’s definitely worth the hour and a half to watch it.
